Acordamos com as tartarugas já que estávamos na praia das Tortugas, sim acordamos antes mesmo do amanhecer. A praia das Tortugas é um local muito belo, praticamente só tinha nós dois de turistas, o resto só locais.
Só nos resta pegar a estrada bem cedo porque hoje temos um encontro muito especial com os nossos pais que saíram do Brasil e vieram nos encontrar no Peru.
Antes mesmo de tomar café da manhã conseguimos rodar uns 300km.
Conseguimos achar um local um pouco mais decente para tomar café da manhã quando estávamos a uns 80km de Lima. Nossa, como o Peru é fraco para essas coisas, você tem que fazer um esforço danado para achar o básico. Nem uma barraquinha de fruta nas infinitas retas de estrada você encontra. Também com esse areiao todo e tão seco do jeito que é… Existem lugares aqui no Peru que não caí uma gota de água à meses… É tudo muito seco, até brincamos que é tanto pó que no final do dia sai um tijolo de dentro do seu nariz… Cruzes!!!
Chegando em Lima pegamos um trânsito que demorou 1 hora e meia para fazer 20km. Um verdadeiro horror, fora os berros que tivemos que dar no trânsito, que povo mal educado, aonde tem um espaço eles se enfiam, vem para cima de você. Cansamos de bater com a mão nos espelhos dos carros, informando-os que espelho existe por uma razão. Não adianta, eles são assim e não vamos mudar o mundo. É realmente estressante dirigir no Peru, fora as buzinas… Eles buzinam por nada!!!
Após atravessar o trânsito horrível achamos o hotel que nossos pais estavam, seguimos as coordenadas do GPS e voilà, certinho.
Bom, não precisamos contar o prazer, a alegria, a satisfação sem tamanho de poder encontrar com nossos pais aqui no Peru. Sabemos o quanto eles ficaram apreensivos desde que partimos de Toronto, coisas de pai e mãe. Quando nos vimos, nossa que alívio e a partir de agora é uma nova viagem. Vamos curtir cada segundo destes momentos únicos. Quanta saudades…
Saímos para almoçar juntos e seguimos para fazer um tour por Lima: Bairro de Miraflores, Barranco, Chorrillos e a praia. Que lugares belos. Hoje de manhã mais uma vez entramos em Lima pela porta dos fundos, mas aí fomos conhecer a porta da frente.
Lima, uma cidade enorme com tudo que você imagina. A noite saímos para conhecer o centro histórico que é muito belo e para variar pegamos um trânsito horrível, estava acontecendo uma corrida na cidade então muitas ruas estavam fechadas. Foi sofrido voltar ao hotel devido ao trânsito.
Vamos dormir porque amanhã vamos para Nasca.

We woke up with the turtles before dawn. The beach of Tortugas is a very beautiful place, practically we were the only two tourists in one of few hotels.
We got on the road early because today we have a very special meeting: to meet our parents who left Brazil and came to meet us in Peru.
Before we even had breakfast we rode about 300km.
We managed to find a slightly more decent place to eat breakfast when we were about 80km from Lima. Northen Peru is weak for those things, you have to make an effort to find the darn basic. Not even a fruit stand in endless straight road you can find… The dryness and dust does not help. There are places in Peru that not a single drop of rain fell in months… It’s all very dry, we even joke that is so dusty and dry that at the end of the day you can find a brick inside your nose… Yikes!
Arriving in Lima took us 1 ½ hours to do 20km. A true horror, as we had to scream in traffic to the poorly educated people. In any space they find, they shove their car on you. We got tired of hitting our hands in the mirrors of their cars informing them that mirror is there for a reason. It does not matter, they are like that and we will not change the world. It’s really stressful driving in Peru… They honk for nothing!
After going through the horrible traffic we found where our parents were, we followed the GPS coordinates and voila, got there just right.
Well, we don’t need not mention the pleasure, joy and satisfaction that is meeting with our parents here in Peru. We know how much they were apprehensive since we left Toronto, things of father and mother. As we saw them, they were relieved and now is the beginning of a new journey. Let’s enjoy every second of these unique moments. We will miss it…
We went out for lunch together and headed to do a tour of Lima: Miraflores, Barranco, Chorrillos districts and the beach. What a beautiful place. This morning once again we entered Lima through the back door, but we know where the front door is.
Lima is a huge city with everything you can imagine. In the evening we went to see the old town which is very beautiful and got stuck in a horrible traffic once again, a street run was going on in the city and many streets were closed. We suffered on the way back to the hotel due to traffic.
Let’s sleep because tomorrow we are heading to Nazca.
