Fomos pesquisar sobre o barco que vai at\u00e9 a Ilha de Ometepe. Apesar de n\u00e3o termos muito tempo a inten\u00e7\u00e3o era de visitar a ilha e assim foi feito. S\u00e1bia decis\u00e3o. Ilha de Ometepe com seus vulc\u00f5es, o Lago de Nicar\u00e1gua em toda sua volta \u00e9 simplesmente maravilhoso e acabamos por descobrir que aqui podemos chamar de para\u00edso.<\/p>\n<p>Contratamos um guia que nos levou para conhecer um peda\u00e7o da ilha apenas devido ao nosso tempo curt\u00edssimo &#8211; a ilha \u00e9 a maior ilha de \u00e1gua doce no mundo, com mais de 200km quadrados de \u00e1rea.<br \/>\nValeu cada centavo e minuto. As praias sao maravilhosas, \u00e1gua muito limpa e tamb\u00e9m visitamos o famoso &#8220;olho de agua&#8221; que s\u00e3o piscinas naturais de \u00e1gua vulcanica.\u00a0 Ahhh se tiv\u00e9ssemos mais tempo&#8230; Ilha de Ometepe, com certeza voltaremos para explora-la melhor.<br \/>\nNicar\u00e1gua deixar\u00e1 saudades, com certeza voltaremos.<\/p>\n<p>Da Ilha de Ometepe seguimos para Costa Rica, cruzamos a fronteira em Penas Brancas. Acabou demorando mais do que esper\u00e1vamos. Muitos guich\u00eas para ir e c\u00f3pias e mais c\u00f3pias de papeis aqui e ali.<br \/>\nNotavelmente tudo come\u00e7ou a melhorar n\u00e3o s\u00f3 a fronteira em si, mas a limpeza tamb\u00e9m. As estradas de Nicar\u00e1gua s\u00e3o \u00f3timas e at\u00e9 agora Costa Rica n\u00e3o nos decepcionou tamb\u00e9m. Tudo muito bem sinalizado e limpo! Incr\u00edvel. Agora vemos quanta sujeira deixamos realmente para tr\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<p>A ideia era de irmos at\u00e9 Monte Verde, mas devido a visita a Ilha de Ometepe e mais fronteira infelizmente n\u00e3o deu para chegar. N\u00e3o queremos viajar a noite por mais que as estradas sejam boas. Liberia<br \/>\nWeather: sun and lots of heat<br \/>\nTemperature: Min 23 Max de 32<\/p>\n<p>Today we left at 6am from Granada and we headed to Rivas. We researched about the boat that goes to the Ometepe Island. Although we don&#8217;t have much time, the intention was to visit the island, and that is what we did. Wise decision&#8230; The Ometepe Island with its volcanoes, the Nicaragua lake all around is simply wonderful and we discovered that here we can call paradise.<\/p>\n<p>We hired a guide that took us to visit a small portion of the island due to our tight schedule &#8211; by the way, the island is the largest sweet water island in the world with\u00a0 more than 200 sq kilometers. It was worth every penny and the time we spent there. The beaches are wonderful, very clean water and we also visited the famous &#8220;water eye&#8221; with natural volcanic water swimming pool. We wish we had more time&#8230; Ometepe island, for sure we will be back to better explore.<\/p>\n<p>After Omotepe Island we went towards Costa Rica, we crossed the border at Penas Brancas. The border cross took more time than we expected. Too many booths to go and copies and more copies of the documents.<\/p>\n<p>We noticed that everything is better as soon as we arrive at the border cross, not just the border itself but we are surprised how clean the roads are. Roads in Nicaragua are great and in Costa Rica it did not disappoint us so far. Everything is clean and well signalized. Only now we realize how much dirt we left behind.<\/p>\n<p>The initial plan was to go up to Monte Verde in Costa Rica. However, due to the visit to the Ometepe island, we could not make it.
